Little Marin looked as pretty as a princess at her 2 year old shoot.

We went to railroad square park to get some fun colorful pictures of Marin and her precious family. Marin wasn't sure if she wanted to have her picture taken, but after a walk around the park she decided to warm up to Mrs. Linley.

Man, she makes me want a little princess for myself!!

Ryder's Mom, Jennifer, wanted a unique setting for their Christmas card pictures this year. We headed down to a little known patch of railroad tracks and had a blast! Ryder's dog Marley was all ready for the shoot and even brought his own matching puffer vest. Nice touch Marley.

Ryder and Mommy wanted some pictures to give Dad for Christmas so our next stop was an out of the way farm. There we found an old horse stable, a tire swing and lots more to explore. Jennifer was pregnant with baby Chanley at the time of the shoot so we had to get a few belly shots in the mix too. (Chanley is here now, yay! Her newborn sitting is this weekend, look for those pics on the blog soon.)

All of the images we captured that day evoke a Norman Rockwell-esque feeling to me. See if you agree...

(BTW, the shot above is one of my all time favorite pictures. Ever.)

His parents that is. Baby Jack managed to "christen" every photography prop we used during this sitting. Only weeks old, his mommy and daddy hadn't been quite initiated into the part of parenthood where you get pooped and peed on... enter Linley.

While I didn't capture any of Jack's finer moments making new stains on his blankets, I did get some of the most precious newborn pictures that his folks will cherish long after the accidents have been forgotten. Babies grow and change so quickly at this age, newborn sittings are my favorite way to memorialize every little line and wrinkle in their pudgy little faces, hands and feet.

Now that the holidays are over I can finally post all of the Chirstmas Cards that my clients ordered this season. I try to wait until a good month after Christmas before I post them here for everyone else to enjoy. All of my Christmas Cards are customized for each client making them truly unique and special to each family.

This post features Hagen's Christmas sitting. These are cards were sent out by Hagen's Grandma and Grandpa using pictures from a beach sitting we did earlier this year. The baby and the pit bull wishing peace on earth. Such irony... you gotta love it.

Delilah was prepared for her sitting with all the makings of the classic Christmas picture. Precious little boy, check. Adorable puppy, check. Red wagon, check. Miniature Christmas tree, check.

Delilah's family property made the most beautiful backdrop and the amazing morning light was the cherry on top. Happiness...

Well hello there.

The holidays were amazingly busy and I am so thankful for all of the families who trusted me to capture their memories this season. My friend Jill hosted a pumpkin carving party in honor of Halloween and I was glad to capture all the little "pumpkins" in action.

The pumpkins arrived all decked out...

This little pumpkin wasn't too interested in having her picture made... I got a few shots and then she let me know she was done!! See? She's DONE.

This little pumpkin was quick, I had to snap a shot before he got away! This little pumpkin just got a new little brother pumpkin in his patch!!Pumpkin Palmer looks innocent, but don't let her fool you! My little pumpkin was grossed out by the real pumpkin guts!! What fun we had at the pumpkin party, we are already planning our jack-o-lantern carving design for next year's bash!!

I was so excited to do some belly pictures for Brooke. She was such a good sport to bare her belly on one of Tallahassee's coldest nights.

Little Miss Sutton has been one of my most favorite subjects since the day she was born, so you know I was thrilled when I was invited to photograph her baptism. The event took place at Trinity United Methodist, where her Mommy and Daddy were married, and which I think is the most beautiful church in Tallahassee. The service was very touching and Sutton was smiling the entire time, what an angel!

Notice her dainty little cross and the beautiful vintage dress that was worn by both her Mommy and her Aunt Erin at their baptisms.

They played the bells that morning and she was mesmerized.

She was so comfortable in the Pastor's arms.

Trinity does the most amazing thing at baptisms, the Pastor walked Sutton up and down the aisle while the congregation sang, Jesus Loves Me. The tears in my eyes made it hard to take pictures...

The best part of my job is experiencing the special events in my clients lives. Sutton is much more than a client, she is like family, and it was such an honor to witness her introduction to faith. Praise God for little girls!!

How do I keep getting to shoot these amazing blue eyed boys? I swear there is not a prerequisite that your children must have blue eyes in order for me to photograph them. I will tell you that Baker and Brooks have about the most amazing eyes I have ever seen.

I know that no one will believe me, but I have not altered the color of their eyes in these pictures ~ they are just that incredible in real life. Here's the scoop... I am a big believer in hand-editing my photographs. What does that mean, you ask?? Well, after I shoot, I usually pop the color, smooth the skin a little and sharpen the eyes. These are all subtle re-touches that just make the pictures look their best. I don't alter the color of the eyes or skin, I swear these baby blues are the real thing!!

This shoot was officially one of my favorites of all time. Seriously, so cute it hurts!!

The Greene boys are so precious and their Mom really listened when I told her that I like to shoot with props. We started off with an heirloom tricycle and some Ed Hardy-esque outifts for the boys.

I think this first picture might be my favorite of the day... that's not true, they were all so good, I just can't pick favorties!!

Precious little Cade was one of the best models I have ever photographed. He slept through most of the session, but in his sleep he made the most adorable faces. He truly looks like a doll in these images, such sweet memories for his Mommy and Daddy.

Baby Kate, or "Baby Cakes" as she is affectionately called, had a big beautiful first birthday party. Every little thing was perfect, especially the birthday girl. Get comfy and settle in for a long post, there were so many precious shots I had a hard time narrowing them down for the blog...

First things first. Kate had a "birthday photo shoot" before the guests arrived. What a perfect setting and perfect outfit for the occasion ~ love it!

Pink tights and a black leotard ~ classsic. The black and white tile floors just sent me over the edge. St. Peter's Taproots house was the perfect venue for these shots.

Sweet girl Abbie is taking her first ballet class and I was lucky enough to capture her excitement as she headed off to class. Maybe one day I'll have a little ballerina of my own. A girl can dream, right? Until then I am satisfied to capture little girl moments like these...

I was invited to shoot her 1st Birthday Party and I was beyond thrilled when I saw her "birthday suit". Since I am the mother of two boys, I relish any chance I get with a tutu.

Oh Palmer, what can I say about my Palmer??

He is inquisitive and tender. Such a sweet spirit for a little boy of two years old. He wraps his arms around my neck every morning when he wakes up as if he hasn't seen me in ages. He is calling out for me as I type this at midnight ~ he talks in his sleep like his Daddy.

These pictures were taken on his 2nd birthday at Venice beach. Unlike Peyton, who hates to get dirty, Palmer delights in the feeling of sand between his toes (and in his hair, his belly button and numerous other crevices).

My squishy Palmer, don't ever grow up...

Have I ever mentioned that I won the husband lottery??

Seriously, I don't think that I have done anything in my life to deserve such an incredible man. Not only is he an amazing husband, but he is the best father to our boys. He is loving yet firm, but mostly he is a big kid at heart. I love him for that.

He is going under the knife tomorrow and I am reminded just how much he means to me. I couldn't do any of this without his encouragement and support. My boys and I are blessed to have him every day. I love him ~ just sayin'.

This past weekend I participated in a Trunk Show for 'The Preppy Little Dress'. The Trunk Show was a promotion for Clothes for a Cause. For every dress that is bought, a dress is sent to a deserving little girl in Uganda, Africa. I was so thrilled to be a part of the event ~ and it was a great success!!

As you can see we were lucky enough to have a precious live mannequin on hand...

These clothes really are for a cause, the dresses are donated in the name of the little girl who will be wearing hers here in the states. What I wouldn't give to take some pictures in Uganda when the dresses arrive. Again, I feel so blessed to be a part of this special charity.

Here's a shot of my new display. YAY! I am so excited to finally have a display to use for Bridal Shows and events. My business cards match the displays, some are black and white and some are color. I can never decide which style I like best so I did both! :-)

I think the display does a good job of expressing my style and personality ~ plenty of pink!

Nothing says southern gentleman like a seersucker suit. Can you tell from the tie selection that these two are UM fans?? Blake and Amber made their way down from Mississippi to renew their vows in Orange Beach, AL. They were blessed with the most amazing sunset ceremony on the white sandy shores of the beach where they first met. Along for the ride was their precious baby boy Blake Adam.

I was in heaven with the beautiful beach and the beautiful children. I love the southern attire that you see on babies and little ones in the south. I swear, people from Alabama know how to do children.

Blake and Amber were so obviously in love it was a pleasure to photograph, but I didn't get many shots where they weren't kissing!

Little boys... can't get enough of them. I had the pleasure of doing a mini-session with this cutie. Carson is the youngest in the family and the only boy ~ his big sisters think they have a real live baby doll!

His Mom decorated the nursery in a circus theme and painted the cutest stripes on the wall. Actually, her close friends painted the nursery (myself included) during her "painting shower". What a cute idea for a baby shower 'huh?? Of course we had to get a few shots of the nursery - love it!!

These two melt my heart. Actually, they are my heart.

I just ordered this image in a gallery wrap and I literally wanted to hug it when it came in. This picture is so representative of my boys relationship. Peyton will put up with his little brother's affection, while Palmer loves his brother to pieces.

My prayer is that they will continue to love each other as they grow up and stay best of friends into adulthood. Only time will tell...

Personally, I cannot resist a man with blue eyes. This little man will surely melt the ladies one day with his baby blues. And his name says it all... Beau.

It is amazing to me that Beau is a year old ~ it was just yesterday that I was doing maternity pictures with Karah and Ben. We had a great *early* morning together at Maclay Gardens getting these great shots... enjoy.

I love when two things I adore come together ~ cute clothes and cute children!

Anyone who knows me knows that preppy is my middle name, so I was more than excited when I was given the opportunity to photograph sweet Abbie for the new Preppy Little Dress ad campaign.

I cannot explain how it feels when a client loves their pictures. There is no question that I love what I do, but it is more important to me that my clients love the images I capture. Over the weekend I delivered a canvas gallery wrap to a client who is also a dear friend. She had ordered a wrap of her son Pierce, and was totally overwhelmed when she saw the finished product. It truly touched me that she was so pleased, but with such a handsome son, my job was easy.

St Teresa Beach was the perfect setting for a beautiful girl and her gorgeous lab. Myles is truly a dog lover, but how can you not love a face like Riley's?? Myles is studying to become a veterinarian at the University of Florida, so you know we had to get some good orange and blue pictures. I think she may have another career as a model if the vet thing doesn't work out, see for yourself...

Our fourth of July went off with a BANG! We had an AMAZING shoot at St George Island with one fiery family. The Kupiszewski (Kup-e-chef-ski) Klan goes to the beach together every summer and has been for almost 20 years. I was lucky enough to be invited to take family portraits of this pretty Polish bunch and I was not about to miss it.

You know, I happen to be partial to Polish folks. I am actually Polish by marriage. Yep, Paske was Paskevich at one time and was shortened at Ellis Island. So, needless to say... no Polish jokes around here! This Independance Day reminds me of how lucky we all are to live in a free country, where even boys of Polish decent can be lucky in love and in life!! Right David?!?

This website and blog has been my baby for the past three months and I feel like I might burst with excitement now that I can share it with you.
